Housism? House-isme?

          For years, I’ve a weird hobby; flipping through pages of my dictionaries, lexicon and al-qamus without any solid reasons. Which word I see is what I get. Sometimes, words that I’ve been searching for ages, suddenly pops up in my mind. But somehow, it doesn’t work every time. I really need ample time and relax state of mind to do so. I’d came across a conversation which sounds more or less like this=

“sorry for being housism. But this meeting is for non-topazians only… shuh!!”

          And hence, the housism term lingers in my neurons. Creating impulses for my hand to reach the Oxford Students Dictionary. But dammit. My search failed. But who knows the term is already on the internet? Why don’t you try to yahoo! Google it? (since when google has become a verb… goggle ado lah… =.=) lalala~ however, from my point of understanding, housism refers to the ideology of housistic (random je…) or passion towards one’s house in an institution (be it Slytherine, diamond, hang tuah, alpha, MEP, or whatsoever…)

          Some may ask the history of how this ideology came from. I don’t have any exact answers, but, from what I know, housism has been instilled in me since I was in kindergarten. The spirit became clearly manifested when I went through my primary, secondary schools and being in college. Hopefully not until I die lah… hek3~

          So, currently, I am a diamonders; house of courage in KYUEM. The best house ever!!! As the saying goes, only diamond can cut the diamond, what else can I say? Haha… ermm… but when I reminisced the memories of being in SBP house system, now I realized the benefits that I’ve got. 5 years in emerald taught me almost everything. I deeply believe that all ex-SBP students will agree on me if I say that no other educational institutions can challenge the SBP house system (although the SBPexcellent database is quite sucks… and sorry for being too honest).

          Not much to mention, but, I still remembered the moment my housemates and I brainstorm to make a battlecry which could demotivate other houses (flirts and insults are allowed back then…). The moment my friends and I brainwashing a few juniors very late at night because they had demerited our house marks due to unforgivable disciplinary problems. The moment of going through glory and hard times. Oh how I wish I could turn back the pendulum….

          In short, dear little brothers, sisters, and juniors, do pay your full participation for your house in boarding schools. It doesn’t matter wether you are holding any post or just being neutral, please do put lots of effort. Why? Because you will regret it when you face real-life problems if you are not doing so in schools. And of course, don’t neglect your studies (as if I’m a counselor lah…)
